SULFUR-CONTAINING MULTI-BRANCHED COMPOUND AND UNSATURATED GROUP-CONTAINING MULTI-BRANCHED COMPOUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sulfur-containing multi-branched compound and an unsaturated group-containing multi-branched compound suitable for use in optical materials or the like.

SOLUTION: The sulfur-containing multi-branched compound is prepared by reacting (a) a compound having x (x is ≥2) pieces of oxetane rings in the molecule with (b) a compound having y pieces (y is ≥2 provided that when x is 2, y is ≥3) of thiol groups in the molecule. The unsaturated group-containing multi-branched compound is prepared by reacting (meth)acrylic anhydride with the sulfur-containing multi-branched compound.
