PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten welding time and to improve welding strength by a method wherein a heat generating body on the surface of which a resin reservoir is formed is placed between heat welding faces of a molded article made of a thermoplastic synthetic resin and heat is generated by applying an electric voltage on the heat generating body while they are contact-bonded and the molten resin is made to flow into the resin reservoir. SOLUTION: For example, a fitting recessed part 7 and a channel 8 are formed on the top edge of the case main body 5 side of a battery case and a fitting lower edge 9 is formed on the lower edge of a cover 6. Then, a heat generating body 1 prepd. by twisting two nichrome wires is assembled in the channel 8 of the fitting recessed part 7 and electricity supplying devices are connected with both ends and electric voltage is applied thereon to heat the heat generating body 1 and to melt the surrounding resin. During this melting, when force is applied on the case main body 5 and the cover 6, the molten resin is made to flow into a resin reservoir 3 formed by twisting the electric heating element 1 and the molten resins on the case main body 5 side and the cover 6 side are made to fuse together into one. Then, when they are cooled, the molten resins are solidified and the case main body 5 and the cover 6 are welded and bonded together. |
