PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor that is excellent in stability of a coating liquid for photosensitive layer formation and is excellent in wear resistance and electrical characteristics.SOLUTION: A photosensitive layer contains a polyester resin having a structure represented by the following formula (1) and a specific formula. The amount of a divalent carboxylic acid residue represented by the formula (1) and specific formula is 70 mol% or more with respect to the total carboxylic acid residue, and the content of the divalent carboxylic acid residue represented by the formula (1) satisfies 0.3≤(1)/((1)+(2))≤0.9 in a molar ratio.SELECTED DRAWING: None
