PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve productivity of a conical roller bearing applying a composite crowning surface on a raceway surface of an outer ring.SOLUTION: A raceway surface 3a of an outer ring 3 is constituted by a composite crowning surface composed of a central curve 3a1 disposed on a central portion in a generating line direction, and end curves 3a2, 3a3 disposed at both sides in the generating line direction of the central curve 3a1, and having a radius of curvature smaller than that of the central curve 3a1. Super-finishing is applied to the whole surface of the raceway surface 3a of the outer ring 3. Both of ratios R/R, R/Rof the radius of curvature Rof the central curve 3a1 and the radius of curvature R, Rof the end curves 3a2, 3a3 are 0.02 or more, and both of drop quantities of the end curves 3a2, 3a3 are 0.07 mm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
