摘要 1,207,457. Board golf game. ENTERTAINMENT SERVICE (PRIVATE) Ltd. 4 March, 1968 [8 March, 1967], No. 10435/68. Heading A6H. A board game adapted to simulate the game of golf includes at least one board depicting one or more holes on a golf course, a pin marker when so positioned protruding above the board, chance means adapted to determine a possible golf shot, a plurality of different indicator means each representing a different club and each adapted to interpret a golf shot on to the board each of the indicator means being provided with a datum aperture and the pin marker being received within the aperture to position the indicator means while permitting the indicator to be pivoted on the pin for proper positioning. As shown the board depicts three holes with a tee 10, a pin on the tee, a fairway 12, a bunker 13, a green 14 with hole 15 and and hazards such as trees 17, rocks 18 and water 16 and a rough 19. An indicator (Figure 2) has a datum point 20, adapted to mate with pin 11 on the tee 10 when a player prepares to "strike" his first shot on any given hole. Radial lines 21, indicate the possible direction of a golf shot relative to the datum point 20, and apertures 22 indicate possible distances achieved by the golf shot. The numerals 1 to 5, associated with radial lines 21, are related to the like numerals of chance means formed as top divided into quadrants each marked by a distinctive colour and sub-divided into five equal sectors, numbered from 1 to 5 and having a spindle, extending through the centre of the top and protruding both above and below to a sufficient extent to allow for the top readily to be spun by a player's singers and, when the top ceases to spin, to enable it to fall onto its periphery and to lie with a sector resting on a surface. The player posttions the datum hole 20, over pin 11, on tee 10, on the first hole and pivots the indicator representing a selected club about its datum point 20, so as to have radial line '3' pointing in the desired direction, and places a marker pin through any other hole to lock the club. To determine the co-ordinates of the shot he spins the chance means and assumes that the chance means comes to rest at section '3' of the "red" quadrant designated by numeral 32, which indicates that the shot has gone straight down the line selected by the player, and that "red" distance has been achieved. "Red" distance could be aperture 33, on line 3, of Figure 2. A marked pin is placed in hole 33 and the indicator withdrawn from pin 11 thus leaving the marker pin in position on the designated spot in the fairway ready for the next shot to be played in a similar fashion. When the ball is on the green the datum point 20 will be placed over the shank of the marker, and only radial line 3 will be used which is located along the direction to the hole, the chance means spun and only the distance quadrant being used to determine whether the shot is short, sunk or overput. Alternative indicators represent different clubs for placing a shot are described and as shown in Figure 3, consist of two limbs 26, 28 hinged at 25 and having adjacent thereto a scale 27 on one and a reference point 28 on the other and having a datum point 24 to be placed with pin 11 on tee 10 and a scale 27. Cut-out portions 30 on limb 29 are provided in order to fix the distance of a possible golf shot relative to datum point 24. An indicator representing a putter and having one limb only with cut-outs to fix the distance of a put relative to the datum point 24 is also described. When the embodiment of indicators as shown in Figure 3 are used, the chance means is modified to give two symbols, one of which is one by which to set the scale 27 and mark 28 to give direction of the shot and the other to indicate the cut-out portion to give the distance.
