PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a yoke stub in common so as to lower a cost of a part by producing a flange, which connects the yoke stub in a universal joint and a shaft together, separately from the yoke stub and integrally connecting the yoke stub and the flange together afterward. SOLUTION: In a flange 7 formed into a rectangular plate shape, a recess part 7a and a projection part 7b, in each of which six extension parts are extended radially like splines from a circle with a diameter (d) within the range of the diameter D, are formed integrally on the front side and on the back side, and bolt holes 7c are bored in four corners. The flange 7 can be formed by means of press molding. The recess part 7a in the flange 7 is fitted around a circular projection part 6d with a diameter (d) on the base end 6a back face of a yoke stub 6 and is positioned in the axial center and in the axial direction, and then, the both of them are welded together. The flange 7 back face is brought into contact with a flange 2a front face of an input shaft 2, and the projection part 7b extension part is fitted in a circular recess part 2b with a diameter D in the flange 2a and is positioned in the axial center, and then, bolt the holes 7c, 2c are fastened together by means of bolts. In this way, the yoke stub can be used in common even if the shapes of the joint connecting parts are different from each other, and a cost for a part can be lowered. |
