PURPOSE:To continue the whole operation of a continuous treatment apparatus for steel strips, for example, without downtime even during a failure by providing an auxiliary coil insertion device by which supplementary material is supplied to central equipment between the central equipment and the inlet side equipment of a continuous treatment apparatus and also providing a coil-drawing device by which the material is taken out of the central equipment between the central equipment and the outlet side equipment. CONSTITUTION:In a continuous type steel strip treatment apparatus, for example, an auxiliary coil insertion device 400 is provided between the central equipment 200 and the inlet side equipment 100, and also a coil drawing device 500 is provided between the central equipment 200 and the outlet side equipment 300. When a failure is encountered in the inlet side equipment 100, the supply of new material from the inlet side equipment 100 is stopped and material is supplied from the auxiliary pay-off reel 13 of the auxiliary coil insertion device 400 to the central equipment 200. Also, when a failure occurs in the outlet side equipment 300, the operation of the outlet side equipment 300 is stopped, and the coil is cut and wound up around an auxiliary tention reel 18 by means of the coil drawing device 500 and shear 22. |
