A multi-component injection moulding process for the production of a plastic closure (1) for removably sealing an opening in a housing or container etc., with a filter medium (A) forming an integrated interface between the inside and outside of the housing. The process comprises (a) injecting the medium (A) into a supporting part (B) made of thermoplastic material(s) (I) and then (b) injection moulding thermoplastic component(s) (II) with a consistency different from that of (I) around base (B) to form the moulded closure. Also claimed is a plastic closure (1) with filter as above.
