POSITIVE TYPE OPTICAL AND THERMAL PHOTOGRAPH MATERIAL

PURPOSE: To provide a positive type photothermal photographic material which is a black and white adequate for use particularly at a contact speed. CONSTITUTION: Two layers form photosensitive media adjacently to each other. One of the two layers contains a photosetting compsn. and one component selected from a reducing silver source and a reducing agent for silver ions and the other layer contains a binder and either of components which are the reducing silver source and the reducing agent for the silver ions and do not exist in the first layer. The curing of the photosetting compsn. in the exposed regions is induced by irradiation with chemical rays and the interaction of the reducing agent and the reducing silver source during the heat treatment is prevented. The photosetting compsn. contains a free radical curing resin and a photoinitiator having absorption to irradiation in a wavelength range of 340 to 440nm. The photoinitiator loses the absorption at the wavelength in the range of 340 to 440nm during the irradiation with the chemical rays or the later heat treatment.
