PURPOSE:To efficiently separate a magnetic body in a liquid to be treated, by receiving the said liquid containing the magnetic body in a vessel, collecting said magnetic body with a rotatable attractor part equipped with a plurality of permanent magnets, discharging the treated liquid after the collection of the magnetic body, and then driving an outer electromagnet for detaching the magnetic body from the permanent magnets. CONSTITUTION:A nonmagnetic vessel 11 has an outlet 12 for magnetic slurry and another outlet 13 for nonmagnetic slurry, and a rotatable central shaft 14 has a plurality of branches 15 to which permanent magnets 16 are fixed and an agitator 25 at its top end. Slurry containing a magnetic body is supplied through piping 17 to the interior of the vessel 11, and the central shaft 14 is rotated for a predetermined time so that the magnetic body in said slurry is attracned to the permanent magnets 16. Then, the outlet 13 for nonmagnetic slurry is opened to discharge the nonmagnetic slurry. Thereafter, limpid water is supplied through piping 20 to the interior of the vessel 11, and an electric current is applied to magnets 4, 4' for detaching the permanent magnets outside the vessel 11 at the same time to erase the magnetism of the permanent magnets 16. Hence, the limpid water containing the magnetic body is discharged through the outlet 12 for magnetic slurry. |
