Transmission belt with V=groove configuration and toothing

A transmission belt, along the inner surface of which runs a pair of continuous individually spaced V-shaped grooves, and consisting of an external reinforcing fabric of woven threads, comprising a mixture of aramid (PA) and polyethylene-terephthalate (PET) fibres. Also claimed is the reinforcing fabric, essentially as described. Preferably, the body has a core extending longitudinally, and a core element determining the neutral surface. There is a tensile section outside the neutral plane and a gathered section within it. The V-grooves extend from the belt's inside surface, into the body, through the gathered section, and beyond the neutral plane.
