PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve usage of flywheel energy storage helping satisfaction of a maximum electric power demand in an elevator driving system. SOLUTION: An elevator system is provided with a three-phase rectifier 20, which converts energy from a three-phase alternating current main power source 21 so as to supply direct current power on a bus 19 to a three-phase inverter 18, and regenerated energy fed to a pressure rising regulator 52 via switches 46, 47 is used so as to drive a flywheel motor generator 26 via semiconductor switch elements 54, 55 for storing energy regenerated in the form of inertia. When a speed of the flywheel motor generator 26 reaches a limit speed, remaining regenerative energy is dropped by means of an energy dissipater 61 via semiconductor switch elements 59, 60. During a high demand term, the inertia energy stored in the flywheel motor generator 26 is used for boosting energy to a DC bus through which additional electric current is fed to the three-phase inverter 18 for driving a winding motor. Control is carried out on the basis of software arranged in an elevator computer, which is used for distributing cars and controlling operation for example. |
