PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handbag-shaped wooden container making use of natural beauty of wood. SOLUTION: A board with a predetermined thickness having an arbitrary outline is used to provide a container body 6 with a spiral stretching part 5 by cutting a plurality of cuts 3 by a spiral saw from an outer periphery to a bottom 4 to be formed at the center. A handle in an approximate arch shape which comes across the container body 6 in a widthwise direction is provided on the outer periphery so that it can stand/fall down, wherein when the handle 7 is made to stand vertical, the spiral stretching part 5 is stretched to form the handbag-shaped container, and while the handle 7 is fallen down, a flat plate is formed along the outer periphery of the container body 6.
