PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording board device wherein a content which is listed on a recording board can be easily converted into electronic data and can be used. SOLUTION: Character strings and line drawings which are listed on a recording board 20 are read by a scanner 30 by an instruction from an operation part 40, and are stored in a DRAM as bit map data. A micro-computer reads the bit map data in the DRAM, JPEG-compresses it and forms compressed data, or forms text data by a character recognition. Then, the bit map data, the compressed data or the text data is written in a floppy disk, and the data can be reproduced and used by other information processing devices. Also, the bit map data, the compressed data or the text data can be reproduced and used by an external communication controller with other information processing devices.
