According to the invention, the U-shaped profile rail for constructing a handling device for an injection molding machine is provided in the form of cavities. The cavities (10b) and, according to requirements, recesses (10c) situated on the surface are arranged in such a way that at least extremities (10d) of the limbs (10a) can elastically move toward or away from one another. The profile offers fastening possibilities for guides of the handling device. The guides can be fastened to the extremities (10d) of the limbs (10a), whereby the extremities (10d) can elastically move in relation to the limbs (10a). As a result, the profile rail is designed such that it is as elastic as possible for receiving guides, however, it can also be designed to be as stiff as necessary according to requirements.
