PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently maintain display quality when a change with the elapse of time arises on reduction in man-hour for adjustment and a product by reducing a time of adjustment by automatically detecting confirmation of a light emitting cell or non-light emitting cell by a discharge current, and providing this device with a control means for automatically adjusting a discharge maintaining voltage. SOLUTION: With a program loaded on a microcomputer 1, this device is configured to be able to detect a discharge current by a current detecting circuit 3, change over an input signal to an all-white signal 8, an all-white signal 7, and a normal signal 6 by a change-over circuit 9, control a maintaining voltage, read a maintaining voltage Vs, and calculate an optimal maintaining voltage. And, setting of the maintaining voltage, or control of the maintaining voltage Vs, reading of the maintaining voltage Vs, and calculation of the optimal maintaining voltage Vs are all automatically performed. Thus, it is possible to unifomalize adjustment work and reduce a time for adjustment, and efficiently maintain display quality when a change with the elapse of time arises on reduction in man-hour for adjustment and the product at the time of manufacturing it.
