PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly and positively cleave the skin of a lid. SOLUTION: In this lid part structure of an air bag device for a vehicle, an instrument panel of three layer structure having a foaming layer between a skin and core material, is integrally provided with a lid part, and the lid part is provided with a longitudinal pair of door mernbers 26, 26 arranged at an opening of the core material from the back face side of the core material, and the foaming layer and skin arranged at the upper parts of the door members 26, 26 and provided with cleavage grooves machined into an almost H shape from the top view along the peripheral edge parts of the door members 26, 26. A pair of door members 26, 26 are provided with cleaving direction flexure strength difference generating means 45 for differentiating the main cleaving direction flexural strength of the cleavage grooves from each other. |
