PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To demonstrate the tension in a lower edge side of an air bag body when an air bag is inflated. SOLUTION: An air bag 20 is provided with a flexible air bag body 21 and a belt part 35. The air bag body is provided with an inflation part 22 to allow a gas for inflation to flow in, and a non-inflation part 29. The inflation part is provided with an inflation body part 24 having a longitudinal rod part 28 to be columnar-inflated in a substantially vertical direction on a rear end side. The belt part pulls a lower edge 21a of the air bag body by connecting base parts 35b, 35c side to the non-inflation part 29 at a peripheral edge of the longitudinal rod part, and fixing a tip part 35d side to the peripheral edge of the opening on the in-cabin side to turn a lower end 28b side backward around an upper end 28a of the longitudinal rod part. The non-inflation part 29 is provided with a cover part 31 arranged in an area from a peripheral edge of the longitudinal rod part to a part close to the tip part of the belt part by holding a part in the vicinity of the tip portion of the belt part movably in the axial direction of the tip portion.
