An RF(Radio Frequency) repeater and an automatic initialization method of a monitoring terminal in the RF repeater are provided to gradually increase a period of offering an initialization command to the terminal so as to prevent a wrong operation of a remote controller and reduction in terminal duration, thereby stably operating the RF repeater. A remote controller(320) collects information required for monitoring a system comprised inside an RF repeater(300) and for controlling the system, generates a control signal in accordance with the required information, and provides an initialization signal until a terminal(340) becomes normal at predetermined time intervals if a signal is not received from the terminal for predetermined time. The terminal transmits the collected information to a repeater monitoring device(100), sends a response message to the controller, and conducts initialization by receiving the initialization signal from the controller.
