A method for detecting the persisting influenza virus in HIV-infected persons in interepidemic period provides for molecular biological study aimed at revealing RNA of the virus based on polymerase chain reaction. With this aim in view, the nasopharyngeal swabs are analyzed. At the same time, the samples of blood plasma and the mononuclears are assayed. The positive reaction is indicative of the persisting influenza virus in the body of HIV-infected persons. |
