The present invention relates to a medical image apparatus and a control method thereof. The technology is to correct and convert medical image data in order to output an image having the same quality as the quality of an image outputted by a display unit of a medical image apparatus in different and various display apparatuses from medical image data obtained by the medical image apparatus which diagnoses a medical image. The medical image apparatus according to an embodiment comprises: a medical image obtaining unit to obtain medical image data of a subject; and a memory to store display apparatus information including kinds of display apparatuses which display the image output information of the display apparatus and the medical image of the subject.
