PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small size matrix array sensor capable of reducing the number of control lines.SOLUTION: Vibrators 2a, 2b, 2e and 2f are arranged in a matrix array. A first electrode 3a is connected to the upper plane of the vibrators 2a and 2b; and a first electrode 3b is connected to the upper plane of the vibrators 2e and 2f. A second electrode 6a is connected to the lower face of the vibrators 2a and 2e; and a second electrode 6b is connected to the lower face of the vibrators 2b and 2f. By controlling the first signal selector 5 and the second signal selector 8, an ultrasonic can be transmitted from each of the vibrators 2a, 2b, 2e and 2f as well as the magnitude of the received signal on the vibrator which has received reflected ultrasonic can be measured.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
