OH end-groups are good plasticisers for copolymers of maleic acid imides and olefin monomers of formula:- (where R' = H, alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, dialkylaminoalkyl, cyclohexyl or phenyl residues contng. C1-6 alkyls; R" = a polymer segment derived from copolymers of maleic anhydride with a vinyl monomer such as ethylene, isobutylene, vinylacetate, vinylchloride, vinylalkyl ether or styrene).
