Floating flood weir system - has float elements on chains to swing across flow when tide is flooding and allowing tidal flow

A flood weir is based for protection against high tides. The floats (4) are joined into float chains which are press-into the form of a floating dam when the tide is flooding (7). The dam is re-opened by the ebb flow. The float chains can be anchored to a fixed point at their bank-side end. This fixed point can also fulfil the function of a thurst bearing against the flood pressure. The floats (4) can be connected with a bank-side fixed point (6) via anchor houses (8) and in these the dam pressure can be transmitted by tension forces.
