<p>PURPOSE: To remarkably improve the safety operation of an oscillating helical elevator in an atomic power environment by assembling a slope onto the internal wall of a container and making the elevator to make reciprocating motion in the horizontal plane around its axis by means, at least, of an operating means and driving means. CONSTITUTION: The oscillating helical elevator has a drain pipe 14 positioned to the central axis of a slope 8 and a groove is provided on a surface 10 which supports a solid compound and has a step 11. Then a plane 12 is stepped so that the plane 12 can be inclined toward the groove and the plane 12 is also inclined by and angle (β-α) against the inclination of the slope 8. In this case, the width of a pipe 14 is made smaller than the minimum size of the solid mixture so that the mixture cannot drop in the pipe 14. The depth of the pipe 14 varies depending upon the thickness of the slope 8. When the elevator is constituted in such a way, the accumulation of fine particles, filings, or the mixture of the particles or dust with a liquid in a fastening section can be avoided. Therefore, the fine particles at the crossing location of the locking section and the plane 12 flows through the drain pipe 14 after flowing down the slope 8.</p> |
