PURPOSE:To manufacture a product of high quality simply at a low cost by applying laser padding on the surface of a valve plate as well as setting low fusing point wax material and a sleeve of copper alloy sliding material into a piston hole part and then heating the whole cylinder block. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder block 1 is provided with plural piston hole parts 3 bored around an axis 2, and one side end face of the cylinder block 1 is formed at a valve plate 4. In manufacturing the cylinder block 1, a laser padding 5 of sliding material powder or the like is, first of all, applied to the surface of the valve plate 4. Secondly, the low fusing point wax material 6 of either a wire ring or ribbon material and a sleeve 7 of copper alloy sliding material are set into the piston hole part 3. The whole cylinder block 1 is then heated, and the brazing of the piston hole part 3 and the tempering of a layer hardened by the laser padding are performed. A communicating hole 8 between the piston hole part 3 and the valve plate 4 is then bored by machining. |
