<p>PURPOSE:To raise the quality of the printing image of a thermal head by performing dividing printing control by selectively driving the switching elements of respective corresponding heating resistors in synchronous relation to timing successively supplying power up to a common electrode. CONSTITUTION:A strobe signal STB is reversed to a low level and respective switching elements selectively become a continuity state on the basis of the printing signals DATA stored in respective circuits and a current selectively flows to heating resistors R7-R9, R10-R12,..., R(9n-2)-R9n, R(9n+1)-R(9n+3) to generate heat and a recording medium is heated to perform the printing operation of the part 1/3 one scanning line of the recording medium. Then, the strobe signal STB is reversed to a high level and a printing control signal BEO is reversed to a high level. By this constitution, the printing of one scanning line is performed and this operation is repeated while the recording medium is stepwise fed to record a series of images.</p> |
