The invention relates to an earthing device designed for discharging static electricity in automobiles. It can be installed in a matter of seconds, without tools, on the towing rings of automobiles and contains an uncoilable supply of the conducting element. It consists of a flexible conducting element (1) coiled around an axis (3) and contained in a housing (5) with an opening (6) through which it emerges in order to touch the ground. The housing (5) is attached to the towing ring (8) by a hook (9) fastened around the towing ring by a screwing or clamping action.
