PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a device for accommodating voice terminal which can accommodate an existent telephone set and a line package in a voice and data integrated exchange by connecting them. SOLUTION: The line accommodation device 16 which is connected to the voice and data integrated exchange through a connection line 204 is connected to a plurality of extension interface circuits 30 used for a PBX and accommodates in the exchange voice terminals such as telephone sets connected to the circuits 30 by telephone lines 206 and 208. The circuits 30 are connected to corresponding packet processing circuits 38 by a dual-port memory (DRAM) 34 and 2M highway(2MHW) interfaces 32 and 36 and conversion between a time-division multiplexed frame signal and packets on a network side which are transferred to a connection line 50 is performed to send and receive voice packets when a channel is put in use.
