PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission system which can correctly reproduce a conference signal and a monitor signal with only two repeaters opposite each other. SOLUTION: One or more reproducing repeaters 30 to 50 or linear repeaters 60 and 70 are connected between multiplexing terminal devices to constitute a transmission system. The repeaters 30 to 50 have local oscillators 36 to 38, 46 to 48 and 56 to 58 respectively or the linear repeaters 60 and 70 have local oscillators 62 and 72 respectively. Phase monitor parts 37, 47, 63, and 73 discriminate between a reference clock which is sent out of the multiplexing terminal device 10 or 20 and synchronized with a network and a reference clock which sent out of one of the reproducing repeaters 30 to 50 or the linear repeater 60 or 70. |
