PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dielectric porcelain composition having a low relative permittivity suitable for processability in a high frequency region and a high value of Q. SOLUTION: This dielectric porcelain composition comprises K, La, Mg and W as metallic elements and (x), (y), (z) and (a) each satisfy 0.40<=(x)<=0.55, 0.15<=(y)<=0.30, 0.20<=(z)<=0.30, 0.40<=(a)<=0.60 and [(x)+(y)+(z)]=1 when the compositional formula expressed in terms of molar ratios of the metallic element oxides is represented by x[aKO1/2 .(1-a)LaO3/2 ].yMgO.zWO3 . The composition preferably comprises a perovskite type crystal represented by (K1/2 La1/2 )(Mg1/2 W1/2 )O3 as a main crystal phase. |
