<p>The method involves controlling a locking mechanism (20) of a lock (40) by a control unit (34) of the lock. A wireless communication connection is produced between the control unit and an electronic key by a transmission and receiving unit (36). A request signal is transmitted from the lock to the communication partner or from communication partner to the lock. The request signal is used at the receiver side for determining a delay of a transmission of an answer signal and the answer signal is sent corresponding to the determined delay. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a lock for an access authorization system with a locking mechanism controlled by a control unit (2) a key for an access authorization system with a transmission and receiving unit.</p> |
