The hydraulic coupling has a bladed primary wheel (1) and a bladed secondary wheel (2). A variably adjustable brake torque is applied on a ladling unit (4) by a brake device (6). The ladling unit is drivable slower than the circular working medium in order to adjust a speed differential variably between the circular working medium and the ladling unit in the area of the opening (4.1) in peripheral direction of the hydraulic coupling. An independent claim is included for a method for controlling and regulating the power transmission with a hydraulic coupling, particularly hydrodynamic coupling or visco coupling.
