The present invention relates to a server and a method for providing an event using a mobile marketing platform. The method for providing an event of an event providing server using a rock-paper-scissors game comprises: a step of receiving event information to be hosted from at least one advertiser to register the event information; a step of supplying the registered event information to a plurality of user terminals; a step of receiving event participation requests from users who desire to participate in the event; a step of registering the users participating in the event as mobile friends of the advertiser; and a step of selecting an event winner by a rock-paper-scissors game manually or automatically performed between the users participating in the event if a number of users participating in the event reaches a predetermined range or a predetermined participation time elapses. Accordingly, the present invention provides users with an opportunity for requesting various benefits such as a prize, a coupon, and a discount and becoming a winner, and fun using a game or a quiz for selecting a fair winner, provides an advertiser with user information of users who have requested an event for target marketing, and supports the advertiser to promote a product or be linked to an online or offline promotion activity. |
