PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a process for producing an optical recording medium which prevents the adhesion of dust and dirt on the surface of the optical recording medium by the flaws on this surface or static electricity and prevents a coating material from losing its own characteristics. SOLUTION: The coating material into which transparent ceramics having electrical conductivity is incorporated is applied on the surface of the optical recording medium consisting of translucent bases 1, 6 and this coating material is irradiated with UV rays to form a surface coating layer 7 and the specific resistance of the surface of the optical recording medium is confined to <=10<10> Ωcm, by which the adhesion of the dust and dirt on the surface by the flaws on this surface or the static electricity is prevented. |
