PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a satisfactory expanded image when expansion that is not an integer multiple is performed by calculating the pixel value of an expansion pixel so that the pixel value of plural adjacent pixels of an original image and the pixel value of the expansion pixel that is newly placed between the pixels may linearly change and creating pixel data of the expansion pixel. SOLUTION: An expansion pixel table 4 stores a result that is calculated by an expansion pixel number calculating means 11 in a table format of shapes of the pixel number of an original image and an expansion pixel number that corresponds to it. A pixel value calculating means 12 calculates the pixel value of an expansion pixel that is created between pixels from each pixel value of original image data according to an expansion pixel number. That is, the means 12 reads a pixel value from the original image data 1 and calculates the pixel value of an expansion pixel according to the expansion pixel number stored in the table 4 so that two adjacent pixels of the original image and an expansion pixel that is newly placed between them may linearly be arranged. |
