PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new protein having a cysteine-rich domain and an SH3 domain and related to the communication of information in nerve cells. SOLUTION: This protein has a cysteine-rich domain and an SH3 domain. The cysteine-rich domain has an amino acid sequence comprising the amino acid residues 108-159 of the formula or a changed sequence obtained by subjecting one or several amino acid sequences of this amino acid sequence to one or more of substitution, deletion, insertion and addition treatments. The SH3 domain has an amino acid sequence comprising the amino acid residues 292-339 of the formula or a changed sequence obtained by subjecting one or several amino acid sequences of the amino acid sequence to one or more of substitution, deletion, insertion and addition treatments. The protein is obtained by culturing a transformant containing a recombined vector containing a polypeptide molecular coding the protein and subsequently recovering the product from the culture product or the cultured cells. |
