PURPOSE:To obtain a high-precise oxygen gas concentration cell with a high yield, by a method wherein, after a plural number of electrodes for cell and lead parts are formed on the surface and the back of a raw sheet containing solid electrolyte ceramic powder and a thermoplastic organic binder, the sheet is formed in a cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A raw sheet 1, containing ZrO2 powder stabilized by Y2O3, a thermoplastic organic binder, and an organic plasticizer, is prepared. Platinum electrodes 21-24, leads 31-34, and a lead terminal part 4 are then screen- printed on th surface of the sheet. Corresponding electrodes 21'-24', leads 31'- 34', and a terminal part lead 4' are formed on the back. The raw sheet 1 is then bent to overlap both end parts, and the overlapping part is heated and pressed to form a hollow cylindrical body 6. After platinum paste is embedded in connection pores 51-53, previously formed in the raw sheet 1, for connection, the cylindrical body 6 is sintered. This enables to manufacture a high-precise oxygen gas concentration cell, in which a plural number of single cells is integrated, and which has steady output, with an improved productivity. |
