摘要 <p>This type of articulation is intended to prolonge the life time of chain drives, to reduce the maintenance costs and to improve the operation characteristics of gear shifting devices. The bolt bearing articulation operates according to the following principle: at the gearing points, the rollers (2) are held above the face of the corresponding teeth and according to the type of links of the chain, they are eccentrically held with respect to the center of the bolts by means of clamping surfaces (4) of the bolt bearings or by means of clamping elements (5), so that the oscillating links of the chain may freely pivot without friction about the rollers (2) during the forward or backward motion of the toothed wheel. The friction in the articulations are exclusively limited to the bearing surfaces of the bolt bearings (6) - bolts (1). As the rollers (2) bear alternatingly on the clamping elements (5) and on the clamping surfaces (4) of the bolt bearings, the elongation between the chain links due to wear remains the same. The open construction of the bolt bearings (6) enables a total osculation of the bolts (1) in the bearings (6).</p>
