PURPOSE:To make it possible for a tail-side former ring to follow the action of a body-side unit by locking a tail-side former unit into a tail-side bladder ring of a body-side former unit through a locking device. CONSTITUTION:In a former unit for secondary green tire forming, a former ring 54 of a tail-side former unit 50 is mounted in a lockable state on a tail-side bladder clamp ring 29 of a body-side former unit 10 through a locking device 40. A green tire 60 is placed on the body-side former unit 10 and the tail-side former unit 50 is caused to approach the body-side former unit by moving a main shaft 51 to the right. After these procedures, the locking device 40 is caused to work so that the tail-side former ring 54 may be locked into the tail-side bladder clamp ring 29. The tail-side former ring 54, resisting an inflated internal pressure, follows the action of the tail-side bladder clamp ring. |
