PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an ion exchanger compact, save the time and labor for regeneration, and reduce the chemical agent amount, the drainage amount and the like in a method of preventing the corrosion and the scale separation of a water system by ion exchanging the replenishing water or retained water of the water system, removing a part of corrosive ions and silica and/or Ca ions and controlling to the proper concentration. SOLUTION: Ca ions are removed by cation exchange resin, and also silica and corrosive ions are removed by anion exchange resin. The supply of water is continued until the average value of Ca ion concentration reaches a given value after the silica break-through point of anion exchange resin or the Ca ion break-through point of cation exchange resin. Thus treated water before the break-through point and treated water after the break-through point are supplied as above, by which the water of an appropriate silica concentration or an appropriate ion concentration can be supplied by a single anion exchange column or cation exchange column. |
