PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording sheet having excellent water resistance and discoloring resistance without bleeding and irregularity even when a pigment ink is used. SOLUTION: In a recording sheet having an ink receiving layer formed therein, the receiving layer is formed by adding a water absorbing copolymer and a water absorbing graft copolymer. As the copolymer absorbs ink and the graft copolymer has water resistance, a high quality printing having excellent discoloring resistance without bleeding and irregularity can be obtained. For the copolymer, an acrylic acid-vinyl alcohol copolymer (a) can be used. For the graft copolymer, a graft copolymer (b) formed by polymerizing a vinyl monomer having a carboxyl group and a monomer having a functional group which reacts to the carboxylic group can be used. As for the ratio of weight parts of (a) and (b), it is effective to set within a range of 20/80-80/20 in the receiving layer, and preferably within a range of 30/70-70/30. |
