<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly actuate a hood by detecting external force directed from a front side of a vehicle toward its rear side by an acceleration sensor to lift up the hood in case of a prescribed vehicle speed. SOLUTION: This actuator is composed of a vehicle speed sensor 21 for detecting a vehicle speed, an acceleration sensor 22 for detecting acceleration acting on a bumper 11 by external force directed from a front side of a vehicle 10 toward its rear side, a deformation velocity computing part 24 for converting the acceleration detected by the acceleration sensor 22 into speed information to bring a bumper deformation velocity, an actuator 23 prepared to lift up a hood 12 by a prescribed level, and a control part 25 for actuating the actuator 23 to lift up the hood 12.</p> |
