PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a joined carbon nanotube array and a method for manufacturing a carbon nanotube film.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing joined carbon nanotube array of the present invention provides a substitute substrate and a growth substrate (having a plurality of carbon nanotube arrays on a surface), a medium in a liquid phase state is installed between the substitute substrate and the plurality of carbon nanotube arrays, the medium of the liquid phase state installed between the substitute substrate and the plurality of carbon nanotube arrays is solidified into a solid medium, the plurality of carbon nanotube arrays are eliminated from the growth substrate to be transferred into the substitute substrate, the medium in the liquid phase state is formed between the substitute substrate and the plurality of carbon nanotube arrays by increasing temperature of the substrate, side faces of the plurality of carbon nanotube arrays are allowed to alternately contact, and a joined carbon nanotube array is formed by intermolecular force.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
