PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a route guide system enabling a user to safely and accurately move to a destination point without depending on visual information within a premises of a facility.SOLUTION: Electronic posts 7 that originate own position information according to a short-range wireless communication method are appropriately disposed on a passageway in the premises of a facility. Optimal route information selected by a processing unit 6 on the basis of pieces of information on a user's current position and a destination point, and premises information on the premises of the facility at the beginning of movement is preserved as route guidance information in a route information control unit 13 of a handheld information terminal 1 carried by the user. Every time the moving user reaches near any of the appropriately disposed electronic posts 7, the position information of the own electronic post originated from the electronic post 7 is received. Based on the current position recognized by a position information recognition unit 12 of the handheld information terminal 1 and the route guidance information preserved in the route information control unit 13, a moving route to the electronic post 7 serving as a passage point to which the user should reach next to the current position is obtained, and the obtained moving route is guided to the user by means of voice.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
