PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid filling apparatus, a liquid filling method and a coating applicator, allowing for suppression of time from the initial filling to a stable ejection of an application head and amount of use of application liquid.SOLUTION: A liquid filling apparatus 7 related to the embodiment is a liquid filling apparatus that fills application liquid into an ink jet application head 4 having a liquid flow channel 4c where a liquid flows and a nozzle N communicating with the liquid flow channel 4c. The liquid filling apparatus 7 comprises a non-application liquid adherence part (pressure tank 21 or supply tank 22) for adhering non-application liquid different from application liquid onto a corner part of the liquid flow channel 4c and an application liquid filling part (pressure tank 21 or supply tank 22) for filling application liquid into the liquid flow channel 4c where the non-application liquid is adhered to the corner part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
