PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject molded products that have strong microbicidal activity and can be used as tableware are medical tools, by admixing a demand type iodine resin microbicidal agent to polyethylene or polypropylene. SOLUTION: The molded product is prepared by dispersing (B) an iodized strong basic anionic ion-exchange resin in (A) polyethylene and/or polypropylene excellent in gas permeability so that the surface of the component A may becomes the microbicidal zones having the component B. The component B is an anionic ion-exchange resin having the a cationic group such as quaternary ammonium bonded to the supporter and an iodine component, for example, triiodide ion is bonded to the cationic group. In a preferred embodiment, the component B is distributes inside the component A in depth of several micron to 0.6mm in a large proportion. Thus, even when microorganisms such as bacteria stick onto the surfaces of the molded product, the microorganisms can be eradicated by iodine liberated by the electric attraction with the microorganism. |
