A steam production or raising installation, in partic. for use in utilizing underground energy, has a boiler which can be sunk into the surface of the earth and which has an auger type cutter mounted to its base and supported from the ground surface outwards. The boiler (1) is constructed in the form of a hollow cylinder with the internal tube or pipe (10) acting as the transport or guide shaft for the earth roof as well as the stabiliser for water (11) steam (9) and oil pipes (19).
