<p>The prefabricated vertical joint filler (10) and pref. made of moulded expanded polystyrene or expanded polyurethane or similar thermoplastics, being designed for use between open ended cellular blocks (12,14) of a pidgeon hole construction. It comprises a flat edge frame (24) with tennos (26) on both major faces, the tennons being detailed to fit into block whilst maintaining air flows along the wall. The tennons may have a nominally inclined truncated pyramid shape and may incorporate a central hole, the taper favouring insertion in a hole. Alternative tenon shapes inc cone forms and non tapered projections making contact with the internal face of the outer wall of a block e.g. 'L' sections, 'T' sections and square hollow sections.</p> |
