Vehicle seat with viscoelastic suspension of the type comprising at least one cushion 1 fixed to a support 3 carried by a frame 5 integral with the vehicle and a viscoelastic suspension means 12 arranged between the said support 3 and frame 5, characterised in that the support 3 has, in a manner known per se, a peripheral channel 9 whose opening is directed towards the frame 5 and which constitutes the housing of a means for filtering out vibrations and for suspension 12 interposed between the bottom of the channel 9 and this frame 5 whilst a blocking and clamping means 16 interacts simultaneously with the support 3 and the frame 5 in the direction of compression of the said means for filtering out vibrations and for suspension 12. <IMAGE>
